Beautiful views, wonderful staff who care about their customer's happiness. Great portions, tasty tempura. Decent prices for lunch. Definitely recommended for a filling bite and a chill vibe in Gourock!
Just had a fantastic meal in The River tonight! The view was stunning and the food was amazing. Staff were very attentive and helpful. The gluten free options were great! Would highly recommend a visit. Also reasonably priced. Thanku! Will be back
Not our 1st time here but always top of the to do when the sun is shining! Beautiful views over the Clyde on a sunshine Sunday to cheer up even the coldest of mornings! We love coming here and would recommend it to anyone passing through Gourock or planning a special breakfast or lunch celebration
Love the dark hot chocolate here, so rich. Ordering that every time we visit. Had lunches here before, mussels were amazing Ordered poached eggs with Haggis on muffin, and a full breakfast. Thoroughly enjoyed them! Along with the dark hot chocolate, that was 24, not bad at all considering how much it costs to run a business these days.
Stopped here this morning for some breakfast on the way back from Dunoon. Staff were very accommodating of me, my partner and two babies. Place Is modern, stylish and well laid out. View is fantastic. Cooked breakfast was out of this world. Latte was smooth and creamy. Will definitely be back
The food was good and so were the drinks. No complains about the staff or the food. In our opinion it was no worse or better than any other high street restaurant. Only difference is...they offer a nice selection of wine and cocktails. No waiting time (perhaps when the restaurant is busy you may need to wait a bit before being seated).
Dogs permitted upstairs in River, with views overlooking The Clyde, this place has a good vibe. Staff are helpful and friendly and the food was very good. Perfect spot to linger over a long lunch, or dinner and watch the world go by.
